L.E.A.D. - Leading with Purpose - Our 2026 Summer Leadership Camp

What does it mean to lead well—especially as a young person still discovering who you are and how you fit in the world? We believe leadership isn’t just about taking charge - it’s about serving others, building confidence, and learning to live with purpose. That’s exactly what our Leadership Camp for rising 6th–12th graders is designed to do.

L.E.A.D. Campers

✔ Deepen their relationship with Christ

✔ Build confidence rooted in identity

✔ Learn to lead with humility and purpose

This experience is intentionally crafted to help students grow in both skill and character. Campers engage in hands-on activities, team challenges, and real-life leadership scenarios that stretch them beyond their comfort zones. They learn how to communicate clearly, solve problems collaboratively, and lead with integrity—skills that will serve them for a lifetime.

But what makes this program distinct is the integration of faith and leadership. Through daily devotionals, small group conversations, and Christ-centered teaching, campers explore what it means to lead as Jesus led—with humility, courage, and compassion. Leadership becomes not just something they do, but an expression of who they are becoming.

Campers are invited to explore who God created them to be, how Christ calls them to lead, and what it looks like to live out their faith with courage and purpose.

Each day is shaped by the L.E.A.D. framework:

  • Lead – Discover your identity in Christ and the unique gifts God has given you

  • Engage – Build authentic relationships and practice Christ-centered community

  • Act – Step into leadership through service, courage, and real-world challenges

  • Disciple – Grow in faith through Scripture, worship, prayer, and daily reflection

By the end of the week, students will leave with:

  • A stronger, more personal relationship with Christ

  • Greater confidence in their identity and purpose

  • Practical leadership skills rooted in service and humility

  • A deeper understanding of what it means to lead as a disciple

This is more than leadership training. It’s formation for a life of faith and influence.

Middle and high school years are formative. The habits, confidence, and identity developed during this time often shape the trajectory of a young person’s life. Leadership Camp offers a space where students are encouraged, challenged, and supported as they step into their potential - surrounded by a community that believes in them.

If you’re looking for a meaningful, growth-filled experience for your student this summer, Leadership Camp at Fellowship is more than just a week away—it’s an investment in who they are becoming.

Safety First: Creating a Secure and Supportive Camp Experience

At Fellowship Camp and Conference Center, the safety and well-being of every camper is not just a priority - it’s a foundational commitment that shapes everything we do. Families trust us with what matters most, and we take that responsibility seriously through intentional training, clear policies, and constant preparedness.

Before campers ever arrive, our staff undergo a comprehensive background screening and training process designed to equip them for both everyday care and unexpected situations. We offer all program staff training to be certified in CPR and First Aid, and our waterfront specialty team maintains lifeguarding certifications. In addition, every staff member completes the Darkness to Light Child Abuse Prevention and Protection training, ensuring they understand both how to create safe environments and how to respond appropriately to concerns.

Safety at camp also means being ready for the unexpected. Our team is trained in detailed Emergency Action Plans (EAPs) that cover a wide range of scenarios - from severe weather to medical incidents. These plans are not just documents on a shelf; they are practiced during staff training and revisited throughout the summer so that our team can respond quickly, calmly, and effectively when it matters most.

Along with our staff, families play an important role in this shared commitment to safety by being aware of and supporting our safety strategies. Many of our practices are outlined in our Camper & Family Handbook and include clear procedures for camper supervision, waterfront safety protocols, health and medication management, and communication guidelines that protect camper privacy and well-being. We also maintain structured check-in and check-out processes, ensure appropriate staff-to-camper ratios, and enforce boundaries that promote safe, respectful relationships between staff and campers.

While no environment is without risk, our goal is to create a setting where campers are free to grow, explore, and build confidence - because they are supported by a team that is well-trained, attentive, and deeply committed to their care.

At Fellowship, safety isn’t just about preventing harm - it’s about creating the kind of secure, nurturing environment where faith-formation, summer fun, and fellowship all come together!
