Meet KeNyJa Spurgeon

Fellowship Camp and Conference Center is excited to work with our newest team member, KeNyJa Spurgeon, our student intern from the University of South Carolina Upstate! Join us in welcoming KeNyJa!

Hi, my name is Ke’Ny-Ja Spurgeon, I am a Senior at the University of South Carolina Upstate. I am studying Psychology and Child Advocacy studies as an Interdisciplinary major. My interest in working with children stems from my own childhood. At an early age, I learned that some of my peers were being raised differently than me, in a bad way. I began to advocate for them to my mom; She helped guide the children through obstacles they were facing by connecting them to resources that can better their situation and mental health. I grew a passion for helping underserved children and communities, through advocacy, locating or creating necessary resources, and spreading information on mental health. I look forward to collaborating with Fellowship Camp and Conference Center to learn more, experience real-world impact, and contribute to the organizations mission.”
