Invitation

The Outdoor Ministries Division of Trinity Presbytery would like to raise awareness of our ministry and also connect congregations with programs and resources related to this important ministry. By focusing on Outdoor Ministries at the start of a new year, congregations will be encouraged to participate in programs and are also invited and encouraged to help support this ministry with a special offering to be received on Sunday, January 25, 2015, or on any Sunday convenient to the congregation.

Mission Interpretation
Three primary efforts will reinforce our missional objectives:

1.     Church Visits: We invite you to invite us for a visit!  If you would like to extend invitations to the Executive Director of Outdoor Ministries, the Assistant Director from Program and Church Relations and/or our Outdoor Ministries Division members, we would love to visit in your congregation to provide worship leadership (perhaps a sermon, minute for mission, or children’s time) or to provide Wednesday evening program or other sessions within the local congregation.

2.     Back Yard Camp Fire Gatherings:  We are hoping to identify individuals who are interested in hosting a back yard gathering of potential campers and their families and/or other individuals interested in camping ministry.  The focus of these gatherings can be shaped and determined by the host(s) in consultation with the Executive Director.  These gatherings may focus on summer program, general ministry, and/or financial support opportunities.  Families hosting “Camp Fires” receive special incentives based on participation, camp registrations, and other factors!

3.     Bulletin Inserts & Minute for Mission/Sermon Illustrations:  The Outdoor Ministries Division will provide four reproducible inserts. These will be available electronically on our website (click the buttons above!) and emailed to existing contact lists for use in the local congregations.  You are encouraged to use these in promoting Fellowship’s programs and the special offering.
